1. How do I uninstall Switchies For Mail?
The README file that comes with this application explains it all.
2. When I launch Switchies For Mail, I get a message that says "The original Mail folder cannot be found. Please launch Mail and create one." What should I do?
You'll see a message like the one shown above if you haven't set up Mail on your Mac yet. And you will see it until you set up at least one e-mail account with Mail. Try launching Mail to see the point. Mail will continue to display the Welcome window like the one shown below until you set up at least one e-mail account. So, again, you must set up at least one e-mail account with Mail before using Switchies For Mail.
3. It would be nice if the user could have the same contextual-menu commands available on the menu in editing and deleting Mail set.
That would be infeasible. It is possible to show the same contextual-menu commands on the menu as shown in the screenshot above. Now, do you see what the problem is? You could not choose which Mail set to edit or delete. That's why these commands are available only through the contextual menu. If you right-button-click on a particular Stickies set, 'This Mail Set' will refer to the one on which you click. So Switchies For Mail can tell which Mail set you want to edit or delete.
4. Wouldn't it be better if the user could just access a submenu to select a Mail Set to edit, duplicate and delete?
You mean, install a dynamic submenu like the one shown below for each of 'Edit' and 'Delete'? Using a dynamic submenu could cause a serious issue in this situation.
It is possible for us to install a submenu for Delete, for example. So what would be a problem? If you see the submenu shown above, all the names (CopyReady, BeautifulLand, My bar 1) are selectable, right? Now, let's see what happens with Switchies For Mail if we right-button-click on the current Mail Set that is flashing. (See the screenshot below.) Delete This Mail Set is disabled, right? Switchies For Mail is designed in such a way that you cannot delete the current Mail set. And Switchies For Mail might not know whether the Mail Set you have selected in the dynamic submenu is the current set or a non-current set. Allowing the user to delete any Mail Set could jeopardize the stability of the entire application.
